Paul, Sarah, and Baby Mary!!

  Tuesday, we had Addie over for a little playdate.  We played with Mary's toys and read books then watched a little Encanto. Saturday we drove up to Dallas and went to the Mavericks v. Grizzlies game and the Mavs won by a lot.  Doncic didn't play for the whole 4th quarter.  Sunday we went to the Cowboys vs. Lions game and that one was a little more competitive.  The Cowboys had one field goal and the Lions had two field goals and then in the third quarter, the Cowboys got a touchdown and two more touchdowns really close together in the fourth quarter. Mary had so much fun at both games.  She would clap and dance and wave her arms.  She loves being around people and was so fun to bring to the games.  Mary is so close to walking.  She can almost stand up and balance without holding onto anything and she is so good at pulling herself up and has started cruising around our furniture this week.

  Mary turned 9 months old on Monday!  It was Columbus Day, so we didn't have her doctor's appointment until the next day.  She got her flu shot and she weighed in at 19 lbs. 12 oz. (76%), Height: 27.5 in. (45%), Head: 17.91 in. (89%).  After her doctor's appointment, the Relief Society President dropped by and had a short visit with me.  It was nice of her to come by and visit.  Thursday I deep-cleaned our apartment and got some stuff ready for Wendy, Emily, and Andy to come into town for Fall Break.  They got to Austin that night. Friday we went hiking at the same place Paul and I hiked last week.  Andy, Emily, and I hiked the full loop (2.2 mi) while Hannah and Wendy went back after about 1 mile because Addie was getting tired.  We went to Buc-ee's afterward, it was Emily's first time.  Hannah and Addie got some snacks and then headed home to give Addie time to sleep.  Mary slept in the car and on the hike, so she was doing okay....

  Mary is going through a sleep regression, so both she and I have had a bad week with getting enough sleep.  She seems to understand mama and dada now when she says them.  She also seems to understand when I say thank you and no.  She can also pull herself onto her feet by herself!  She has snuggled up to Paul a lot more this week. Her 4th tooth poked through on Thursday, it's the other top front tooth.  Happy Birthday to Nathanael on Tuesday and Claire on Thursday! My ministering sister had her baby last week so I took her some lasagna on Thursday.  Friday we went to the park for the weekly ward park play date.  Friday night we went to dinner with Matt and Hannah and Addie, then walked around and played at a park for a little while.  Saturday we went hiking.

  Last Sunday I noticed that Mary's right front-top tooth poked through her gums while we were on the plane and I forgot to mention it in my last paragraph.  She has also started clapping and loves to dance.  She dances to music while she is playing or eating.  She has also started pulling herself onto her feet and can stand and take a few steps with assistance.  Happy Birthday to Eliza on Thursday! Thursday night I went to the ward book club and we talked about the book The Happiness Trap.  I only read the first couple of chapters but we had a good discussion.  Friday morning I got Mary up early and we made it to the ward park play date that morning.  It was fun and we stayed an hour and a half before Mary decided that she had had enough.  Saturday we watched conference at our house and I made some yummy French toast.  Sunday we went over to Matt and Hannah's for the day and watched both sessions of conference with them.  Paul...

  This week I deep cleaned our apartment and renewed our car registrations. Thursday, Paul got home early and we went on a family date night and hung out with Matt, Hannah, and Addie. Friday, Hannah gave us a ride to the airport.  We had a great flight to Salt Lake City, Mary slept and was relaxed.  Andrew picked us up.  We had dinner together and got ready for Grandpa Reed's viewing.  It was a pleasant viewing and many people came to pay their respects. Saturday we went up to the cemetery in the avenues and had the graveside service first thing in the morning.  Afterward, we went to the funeral at Grandpa Reed's meeting house.  All the son's spoke and did a great job.  There were two musical numbers and the whole family sang How Great Thou Art for the closing hymn.  We had lunch at Jeff's house and took a family picture.  Later we went to the park and played pickleball then we went home and played games.  Sunday, Mom drove us to th...

  This week Mary has been dancing a lot.  I will sing to her and she'll stop what she's doing, sit up, and dance.  It is so cute.  She officially started crawling on her hands and knees on Wednesday this week.  She's been moving a lot and it makes her so tired that she sleeps 8 hours in a row!  She used to get up 1-2x a night but not since she started crawling.  Mary showed off her crawling skills when we hung out with Matt, Hannah, and Addie on Saturday.  Mary also got to make some new friends in the ward when we went to another family in the ward's home for dinner. Monday we heard Grandpa Reed had a stroke and went to the hospital.  Thursday he was sent home with hospice care.  Friday morning he passed away peacefully.  Mary and I will visit Salt Lake for his viewing and funeral this next weekend.

8 months old   Happy anniversary to Mom and Dad on Monday and happy birthday to Sierra on Wednesday.  Thursday, Mary had her second tooth poke through!  It is also in the front on the bottom.  Mary also started moving around more in her sleep.  I'll put her in her crib on her back and she'll get out of her blanket and roll onto her tummy while she's sleeping and hang her hand or foot off the side of her crib.
