April 11-17

Monday I spent the whole morning calling apartments in Austin to see if we could find a better place than what we saw on Saturday.  Everything we saw on Saturday was expensive, far away from Paul's work, and required a toll road to get there.  Paul made a list of 50 apartments for me to call.  I contacted one that we really want that is in a town just east of Austin called Manor.  It is 15 minutes north of Tesla and Paul won't have to drive on the freeway at all.  We filled out an application when Paul got home from work.  The manager called us to get more information.  She has a unit reserved for us, we are just waiting for them to get our background checks done, and then they will send us a confirmation.

Wednesday I went on a walk with Kathy Dahl in the ward.  It was nice to talk to her and get outside.  It has been super muggy and hot this week but Wednesday was nice.  Friday we got together with Floortje and Juanma for dinner.  They made pizza for us and we just hung out.  It was super yummy. 

Mary has had a harder week sleeping.  She is eating more and growing a lot, so I don't know if that is the reason for her change in sleep routine or if it is due to the muggy weather.  She also seems to not need to sleep so much at night time.  She was sleeping 12 hours per night but has been sleeping 10 hours per night this week.  She usually likes to suck on her whole fist but has switched to sucking her fingers this week.  She is getting used to that because she ends up gagging herself a lot.  She also is practicing using her tongue.  She sticks it out a lot which is super cute.  She is finding her voice more and more.  She keeps making new sounds and is babbling more.  She had a real laugh this week and we were able to get a recording!  She is such a fun and happy baby.
