March 14-20

I had a head cold last weekend that seemed to clear up by Sunday but Monday I woke up with a sore throat and an earache in my left ear.  Paul woke up feeling achy and had a cough.  He got tested for Covid but it came back negative, so we assume it was just a cold.

Mary loves making spit bubbles and doesn't cry too often when she wakes up.  Instead, she will call out to let us know she is awake.  She is focusing so much better and she will smile when you smile at her and she loves looking at faces.  She has also slept the whole night each night this week!  It has been a miracle.

Happy Birthday to Bethany on Tuesday!  Paul interviewed with Tesla on Tuesday and it went really well.  We should be hearing back from them next week.

Happy Birthday to Grandma Terry on Thursday!  Mike and Wendy flew into Dallas Thursday evening.  They made it in time to see Mary for a little while before she went to bed.

Friday we went to Plano.  There is an authentic Bavarian restaurant there that we wanted to show to Mike and Wendy since Mike traveled to Germany a few times.  We went a little early since Mary was getting fussy, so we couldn't wait until dinner when there would be live music and more of the atmosphere we wanted to show off.

Saturday we spent the morning with Mike and Wendy then we had them babysit Mary and we went to the temple to do a session with Mom and Dad.  Afterward, we all met up for dinner.  I had neglected to make a reservation so we ended up waiting for an hour to get a table.  Mary slept right when we got seated and woke up when we got the bill. And she still slept the night even though she took a late nap!  She is so perfect.  After dinner, we all came back to the apartment and had ice cream, and played 9 innings.
Sunday we had both sets of grandparents over for church through zoom.  Then we had the bishop over and Paul blessed Mary.  He did a great job and there was a beautiful spirit there.
We had some sandwiches with fruit, salad, and chips for our Sunday meal then had the chocolate bundt cake and ice cream for dessert.  We played another round of 9 innings before Paul took his parents to the airport.  We talked with Mom and Dad for a couple of hours before they went back to the hotel.  It was a beautiful day.
