Monday Dad was surprised to find out he had a mediation. The other attorney was supposed to be there but he decided not to go and also decided not to tell anyone about it. The client called and Dad jumped on and took care of it. Unfortunately, it did last most of the day. He was able to come with us and take care of it in the car. We went to Buc-ee's and Mom got shirts and goodies to share :) Then we got lunch at East Hampton and drove around SMU campus and went to the George W. Bush Museum/Library. It was fun to go through the exhibits. After that, we came home and made dinner, nacho chicken. It had poured all day and we ended the day with a tornado warning! It was scary and the sky was super dark but I don't think a tornado formed.
Tuesday was cold and windy. Dad and I played tennis in the morning. Dad had to work all day, so he stayed at the hotel and I got mom to watch Mary while I got ready. Then we went to the Bishop Arts District. We got lunch at Eno's Pizza and some pie at Emporium Pies. We did a little shopping and Mom got me this cute apron. We got home safely, no thanks to aggressive Dallas drivers. Then Dad came over and we hung out til Paul got home. Then we went to the Woodlands American Grill for dinner. We came home and played some games before calling it a night.
Wednesday we went to Maple Leaf Diner for breakfast. I wanted to make sure to take the parents here since it is a top spot in Dallas and it is so close to where we live. We spent the morning together before they left to catch their flight to Iowa.
Thursday Paul had lunch with a visiting professor and got to hear about her research on cancer.
The rest of the week was relaxed. Mary loves to play by kicking her legs. I will help her stand or she will push her feet against my hand. I was talking to Paul on the phone and was sitting on the floor next to the bed and she started kicking me in the face, which she enjoyed.
She wore the pretty dress Nana and Grandpa brought her on Sunday. I've also noticed this week that she seems to favor her left hand, so I think she might be left-handed! That would be fun.
I hope everyone had a great week!
