Sunday Mary |
Paul had his first day at Tesla on Monday. It was onboarding and orientation. Mike and Wendy came over to watch Mary and I organized the bedroom, kitchen, and dining room. Wendy helped me put dishes away in the kitchen. I forgot to mention last week that Matt also helped put together our furniture. Then we all got together for dinner at the Salt Lick (per Andrew's recommendation) then we went to Lake Pflugerville for a few minutes before calling it a night.
Tuesday Paul did more paperwork and got a 6-hour tour of the Giga factory. He loved it and loved hearing about what Tesla is doing and seeing some of their facilities. Even though the tour took up the whole day, they only covered a small portion of the factory. Mike and Wendy watched Mary again. I organized her room, hung stuff up on the wall, and finished unpacking everything! I'm so grateful for Mike and Wendy watching Mary so I could get us unpacked and settled in quickly.
Wednesday Paul took his parents to the airport then came home to get ready for work and left again. Thursday we got our oven fixed and also found we had a bit of an ant problem. We got some spray and ant traps that have proved to be pretty effective.
Friday we had a date night of getting Mexican food and watching the Golden State v. Mavs game. Paul fell asleep after the first quarter and I put Mary to bed after half-time. It's been a long week of unpacking and getting settled in a new job.
Happy birthday to Adam on Saturday and happy anniversary to Mike and Wendy.
Sunday we went to Matt and Hannah's ward because Matt was speaking. He did a good job and talked about keeping up spiritual momentum. We took Mary on a walk to a park behind our apartment. Later in the evening, we had Matt, Hannah, and Addie over for dinner. I made lasagna. We took them to the same park and had Addie play there to try and tire her out in time to go to bed.
Mary has been doing really well in the new apartment. She has been sleeping really well and a lot of her hair is coming in. After her bath her hair sticks straight up and she looks like a little mossy-haired baby. She is so cute. She is almost turning over, she will throw her legs to get her on her side and I think she is really close to getting herself on her belly.
