Sunday Mary



 Paul worked from home Monday and Tuesday due to a rain storm that flooded the area around his work.  Mary figured out how to suck on a binky without having to hold it in her mouth with her hand and she has loved it this week.  She's also been grinding her teeth, so I give her her binky to avoid her grinding them.  Mary is climbing into the cupboards now and can stand up in her crib!


Happy Birthday to Andrew on Wednesday!  
Thursday I went to the ward book club Halloween party.  We talked about the book Little Women then played games and I won a gravy boat in the raffle!  It was a lot of fun.


Mary was up for 3 hours during the night, so Friday we were little zombies.  I made some banana bread and I tried to track down the package mom sent last week.  We Facetimed and chatted about the house remodel.  We figured out the package was delivered but they put it in a random mailbox so I have to track down the mailman to let me in because the property doesn't have a key? I don't know why.  That night we met up with Matt and Hannah for ice cream and Mary and Addie got to play together.  They watched Mary for us Saturday night as well while Paul and I went to dinner for Paul's birthday.


Happy birthday to Brooke on Sunday!  We went for a nice walk after church, it is finally cool enough to enjoy being outside.

Highlights for the week are Monday I got to join in with Ben's weekly video call.  It was good to chat with him for a couple of hours.  I made a steak salad for dinner with bleu cheese dressing. Tuesday I felt excited about Andrew's assignment to create a PowerPoint presentation for my proposed idea for our family vacation in 1.5 years, so I put together a little slide show.  I made buffalo chicken sandwiches for dinner. Wednesday was my weekly doctor's appointment.  We decided we wouldn't induce me until after my due date and would see if Mary will come on her own in the next two weeks.  I have been able to feel contractions this week, so I am hopeful that this next week will be the week she arrives.  I made mom's nacho chicken for dinner.  It is one of our favorite meals.  Thursday I woke up and had a very itchy rash on my belly.  My whole belly was covered in small red dots.  I emailed my doctor and she said it was probably PUPPS and suggested I use hydrocortison

November 21 - 27

  We had a great week this week.  We had Hannah and Addie over on Tuesday and played at the playground at our complex.  Wednesday we went to a bigger park and met up with other moms and kids in the ward.  We played there for two hours.  Paul got to come home early on Wednesday, which was awesome.  We took my car in for an oil change and tire rotation.  I need new tires, so we'll take care of that next week. Thursday was Thanksgiving!  We had Matt, Hannah, and Addie over for dinner.  I made the turkey, stuffing, and mashed potatoes, as well as the gravy and a camembert appetizer.  Hannah made a yummy feta and berry green salad, fresh homemade rolls, and a rich chocolate cheesecake.  It was a fun evening together.  Hannah brought some crafts for Addie and Mary to make and wear turkey crowns.  We played some games and talked. Friday we drove down to Houston first thing and spent the day at the NASA Johnson Space Center.  We saw a full-sized spaceship, artifacts from the moon missions,

December 27 - January 2

Monday was my first official day of being unemployed.  I went to the gym, installed our car seat, went for a walk in the afternoon, and got my covid booster shot.  The weather was beautiful for a walk.  It was sunny and in the 80s.  I got my booster shot in the building that is across the street from Paul's lab, so I went to see him afterward and we got some burgers together.  Because he took a dinner break with me he had to work a little later but he didn't mind. Happy anniversary to Jacob and Brianna on Tuesday!  Tuesday was a little crazy.  I went to the gym and realized I didn't have any cell service.  Dad had texted me the day before and arranged that I would keep service until I was able to switch to Paul's phone plan over the weekend.  I guess they did not honor his request.  I didn't have time to fix it right away so I finished my workout and got ready for the day.  I had a doctor's appointment that morning and I guess Mary was excited about it because s
