February 28 - March 6


This week has been busy because Paul has his first WIPS next Wednesday.  He's been working on it all week. Please pray that it will go well!

Mary has been doing well.  I think her eyesight is improving.  She seems to be able to see our faces better and is fascinated by her toes.


We had Stake Conference this week.  I zoomed in for both sessions.  Paul went to the temple and missed the adult session and went to the regular session in-person to help put away chairs but all the missionaries in the zone came and put the chairs away in two seconds, so Paul just came home after that.  We had dinner with the Erekson's and Paul went out with the missionaries afterward.


I got on the Christensen family zoom to show my slideshow of the Ozark National Forest for our family vacation.  It appears that everyone likes that idea but we wouldn't be going until August 2023, so there is still time for other ideas to be presented.  I know it will be a little humid for our Utah family.

Minnie Mouse for Halloween   We didn't really do anything for Halloween because Mary is too little for trick or treating but we did watch a Halloween movie when Paul got home from work and we dressed Mary up as Minnie Mouse for the day.  Helping with the dishes Happy birthday to Rachel on Wednesday. Paul went on a work trip to Colorado all day on Friday.  I dropped him off at the airport at 6 am then Mary and I went home and went back to bed for a couple of hours.  It was a rainy, hot, and muggy day but we weren't going to let that keep us at home.  We went to the local library and another mom in the ward came with her 3-year-old and 5-month-old.  We hung out there for probably an hour and a half.  Then Mary and I went to grab some fun groceries for the weekend.  I tried to put Mary down for a nap but she wasn't having it, so I put her back in the car and we drove to the other side of Austin and did an easy nature hike up to the Mount Bonnell look...

November 21 - 27

  We had a great week this week.  We had Hannah and Addie over on Tuesday and played at the playground at our complex.  Wednesday we went to a bigger park and met up with other moms and kids in the ward.  We played there for two hours.  Paul got to come home early on Wednesday, which was awesome.  We took my car in for an oil change and tire rotation.  I need new tires, so we'll take care of that next week. Thursday was Thanksgiving!  We had Matt, Hannah, and Addie over for dinner.  I made the turkey, stuffing, and mashed potatoes, as well as the gravy and a camembert appetizer.  Hannah made a yummy feta and berry green salad, fresh homemade rolls, and a rich chocolate cheesecake.  It was a fun evening together.  Hannah brought some crafts for Addie and Mary to make and wear turkey crowns.  We played some games and talked. Friday we drove down to Houston first thing and spent the day at the NASA Johnson Space Center....

November 7-13

10 Months   Happy birthday to Hannah on Tuesday.  I was able to vote and then Mary and I went to the library and had a play date with another family in the ward.  Mary turned 10 months on Thursday!  We went to the playground and she absolutely loved the slide.  Friday Addie came over for a play date.  We watched Toy Story, played with Mary's toys and books, and made pumpkin cookies.  I got a cute picture of the girls wearing aprons.  Happy birthday to Grandpa Sam on Saturday.  We went to a little Christmas Market on Saturday morning and it got us in the Christmas shopping mood.  We went to the mall with Matt, Hannah, and Addie afterward.  We got the girls matching pajamas and took pictures with Mall Santa.  Mary was okay at first then got scared. We got our tickets to come to Utah for Christmas.  We can't wait to see everyone!
