Happy birthday to Finley last week!

Monday we celebrated independence day by meeting up with Matt, Hannah, and Addie at a parade in the morning.  After the parade, we got breakfast all together before heading back to Matt and Hannah's apartment.  Hannah made us homemade root beer and a cookie tart.  We went to a little festival after that where we watched piglets race and Addie got to ride a horse.  It was a little too hot for Mary, so we took her home to rest and cool down.  Later that night we went to Manor Senior High School and watched the fireworks there.  Mary loved the fireworks and they didn't scare her at all.  It was so fun to see her experience that for the first time.

Hannah and Addie went to Utah to see family on Thursday, so Matt was home alone.  We invited him to come with us to dinner that night.

Sunday Mary turned 6 months! She is doing so well at sitting up.  She's almost able to sit up without help.  She looks like she wants to get on her knees and crawl but she is able to turn and scoot a little bit to get to her toys.  She has been so giggly and happy this week.  It is so fun to see her get more smiley than she already has been.  She loved smiling at people and is very social.  We had Matt over for dinner again on Sunday while his family is out of town.
