March 7 - 13

This week was eventful.  Paul stayed home Monday and Tuesday to prepare and practice his presentation for his WIP.  He was nervous but when Wednesday came, he was flawless!  He presented with confidence and received very kind compliments from his superiors and peers.  We are so proud of him!

Thursday was Mary's 2 month appointment.  She is 11 lbs. 10 oz. (58.5%), 23.1 in. (78.4%) and her head circumference is 39.2 cm (78.3%).  She was a champ getting her first round of vaccines!  She did have a hard time sleeping Friday night.  I think she was sore from the shots but she did not get a fever.  She slept 5 hours straight once she fell asleep on Friday and then she slept a lot of the day Saturday and very well that night.  She is also growing so much!  I feel like I blink and she is different.

Congratulations to Amelia and Gabe for getting engaged on Friday!  Paul and I got engaged on March 11th as well, just in 2017!

Saturday we spent the day with Floortje and Juanma, our friends from UTSW.  They made us lunch and we had a good time talking with them.

Sunday we got home from church to find a bird of prey perched on our neighbor's car!  It was crazy!  Later, we watched Prince of Egypt and I put Mary in Paul's arms for the last 20 minutes and she looked as if she was watching the movie, she even reacted to it like she was watching!  It was so fun to see.

Also, thank you to Mike and Wendy for the package from their trip to Hawaii!
