11 months   I did lots of baking this week, which was fun.  I took some of my baked goods to the ward Christmas party on Saturday.  We also donated some gifts for children in need in our area at the party.  Tuesday I went to the ward book club Christmas book exchange.  We drank hot apple cider and exchanged books white elephant style.  The host sent us home with mini squishmallow ornaments.  I got a gingerbread man and as soon as I got home Mary took ownership of it and carried it around with her for the next few days. Christmas Magic Thursday night, Matt, Hannah, and Emily got back from Paris.  We had Emily over that night and all day on Friday.  After Paul got home from work we met up with Matt, Hannah, and Addie for dinner then went to their apartment to celebrate Addie's second birthday.  We gave Addie a Christmas sweater with Buzz Lightyear on it.  She loved it!  Mary loves playing with her cousin and had a great time playing with a little plastic shopping cart that Addie had.

We met up with Hannah and Addie for a park play date on Tuesday.  We wanted to see them before they went out of town for a week.  Wednesday I was able to practice the piano before Mary woke up.  She slept great this week, I think her sleep regression is over.  She's been sniffly lately, so we just stayed inside all day on Wednesday so Mary didn't need to be out in the cold weather or around other people.  We Facetimed with Wendy that evening and Mary was so playful.  She was very talkative and expressive to Wendy and would reach out and touch her face on the screen.  She held onto my finger and showed off how good she is getting at walking.  She loves telling stories, she will use her hands, her facial expressions will change, and her voice pitch changes too. Thursday Emily flew into Austin and we picked her up and she stayed with us that night.  Friday Matt and Hannah came over and Mary and I drove the three of them to the airport for their flight to Paris.  When we got home

We had a great week this week.  We had Hannah and Addie over on Tuesday and played at the playground at our complex.  Wednesday we went to a bigger park and met up with other moms and kids in the ward.  We played there for two hours.  Paul got to come home early on Wednesday, which was awesome.  We took my car in for an oil change and tire rotation.  I need new tires, so we'll take care of that next week. Thursday was Thanksgiving!  We had Matt, Hannah, and Addie over for dinner.  I made the turkey, stuffing, and mashed potatoes, as well as the gravy and a camembert appetizer.  Hannah made a yummy feta and berry green salad, fresh homemade rolls, and a rich chocolate cheesecake.  It was a fun evening together.  Hannah brought some crafts for Addie and Mary to make and wear turkey crowns.  We played some games and talked. Friday we drove down to Houston first thing and spent the day at the NASA Johnson Space Center.  We saw a full-sized spaceship, artifacts from the moon missions,

Snuggled Up It was a cold week, so we got Mary some warm clothes.  She can stand for a longer time by herself and walks well holding onto my fingers.  She got up early on Monday, so I thought we could get grocery shopping over first thing in the morning.  She fell asleep in the car on the way home and stayed asleep while I took her out of the car and put her in her crib.  She slept for two hours after that. Tuesday Hannah texted me and asked if Mary and I wanted to join her and Addie at the Thinkery Children's Museum.  We met up there and Mary and Addie got to play for a couple of hours.  It is so fun watching them interact together. Wednesday I FaceTimed with Clare Schramm.  It was great to talk to her and catch up.  Friday I went to a Relief Society holiday party.  I made my brie bites appetizer and it was well-liked.  It was really fun to meet more sisters in the ward.  Saturday we went over to Matt and Hannah's for pizza and to plan Thanksgiving weekend.

10 Months   Happy birthday to Hannah on Tuesday.  I was able to vote and then Mary and I went to the library and had a play date with another family in the ward.  Mary turned 10 months on Thursday!  We went to the playground and she absolutely loved the slide.  Friday Addie came over for a play date.  We watched Toy Story, played with Mary's toys and books, and made pumpkin cookies.  I got a cute picture of the girls wearing aprons.  Happy birthday to Grandpa Sam on Saturday.  We went to a little Christmas Market on Saturday morning and it got us in the Christmas shopping mood.  We went to the mall with Matt, Hannah, and Addie afterward.  We got the girls matching pajamas and took pictures with Mall Santa.  Mary was okay at first then got scared. We got our tickets to come to Utah for Christmas.  We can't wait to see everyone!

Minnie Mouse for Halloween   We didn't really do anything for Halloween because Mary is too little for trick or treating but we did watch a Halloween movie when Paul got home from work and we dressed Mary up as Minnie Mouse for the day.  Helping with the dishes Happy birthday to Rachel on Wednesday. Paul went on a work trip to Colorado all day on Friday.  I dropped him off at the airport at 6 am then Mary and I went home and went back to bed for a couple of hours.  It was a rainy, hot, and muggy day but we weren't going to let that keep us at home.  We went to the local library and another mom in the ward came with her 3-year-old and 5-month-old.  We hung out there for probably an hour and a half.  Then Mary and I went to grab some fun groceries for the weekend.  I tried to put Mary down for a nap but she wasn't having it, so I put her back in the car and we drove to the other side of Austin and did an easy nature hike up to the Mount Bonnell lookout.  It is the highest poi

Sunday Mary   Paul worked from home Monday and Tuesday due to a rain storm that flooded the area around his work.  Mary figured out how to suck on a binky without having to hold it in her mouth with her hand and she has loved it this week.  She's also been grinding her teeth, so I give her her binky to avoid her grinding them.  Mary is climbing into the cupboards now and can stand up in her crib! Happy Birthday to Andrew on Wednesday!   Thursday I went to the ward book club Halloween party.  We talked about the book Little Women then played games and I won a gravy boat in the raffle!  It was a lot of fun. Mary was up for 3 hours during the night, so Friday we were little zombies.  I made some banana bread and I tried to track down the package mom sent last week.  We Facetimed and chatted about the house remodel.  We figured out the package was delivered but they put it in a random mailbox so I have to track down the mailman to let me in because the property doesn't have a key?
